As Lead Web Designer for Chickasaw Community Bank, I transformed their online presence by balancing cultural heritage with banking regulations. I worked directly with the Chickasaw Nation, conducting interviews to understand their digital pain points.

My solution focused on four principles: cultural integration, accessibility, service clarity, and community connection. I restructured navigation around main service areas, giving each a distinct cultural pattern and color to establish clear visual hierarchy.

I built a modular design system with consistent branding and accessibility, then guided junior designers to implement templates across the site. I collaborated with developers on creating efficient Elementor templates, implementing some designs myself while ensuring security standards were maintained.

Based on competitor research, I added a sticky sidebar that kept subpages visible without requiring users to leave their current page. We improved content organization through strategic cross-linking and custom fields for better content management.

Our mobile-first approach served diverse users, while accessibility controls gave users options for typography size and contrast. The results speak for themselves: 42% more online applications, 65% fewer support calls about navigation, better accessibility compliance, and client-managed content updates. We successfully balanced professional banking with community warmth and tribal heritage.
